REVISION IN MENU AND TARIFF OF CATERING SERVICES IN RAILWAYS

03 December 2019, Pune- Railway Board has revised the Menu and Tariff of pre-paid catering services of Rajdhani / Shatabdi / Duronto trains and standard meals / food items provided in Mail/Express trains on payment basis taking into consideration the requests of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and the recommendations of the Menu and Tariff committee set up by Railway Board.

This revision of Menu and tariff of catering services and standard meals will be implemented with effect from 28.3.2020 as per 120 days Advance Reservation Period.

The Railways have decided to introduce Chicken Curry as an option in standard non-vegetarian meal in addition to existing non-vegetarian meal with egg curry and to offer Biryani (Veg. Biryani, Egg Biryani and Chicken Biryani) as a standard meal variety in view of its popularity.

The Railways have also decided to introduce ‘Snack Meal’ with regional items/cuisine/flavour as a meal variety. The components of newly introduced standard items will be decided by ITCTC. For details visit www.indianrailways .gov.in and menurates.irctc.co.in.
