Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor’s PET-A-THON attracts horde of pets and pet lovers

Bengaluru, December 3, 2017: This Sunday morning, Domlur Dog Park saw one of the largest congregation of dogs and their lovers.PET-A-THON, an annual event organised byThe Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor as an awareness and fund-raiser event, attracted more than 100 dogs. It was a delightful occasion where pet custodians participated with their pets in half a kilometre walk. This year’s theme was “Be Fit With Your Pet”, meant to involve the pet in regular exercise or work outs.

PET-A-THON, organised as a run-up to Bengaluru Midnight Marathon, has over the years evolved into a standalone event that animal lovers of Bengaluru look forward to meet, interact and exchange their love for the four-legged friends.

This year, the main events included BBMP Pet licensing drive, Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive and interacting with Bangalore’s finest dog behaviourists, nutritionist, trainers whotalked about inculcating good Health and behaviour. The healthiest doggie at the Petathon was also rewarded with hamper full of goodies.

There was also an auction organised to raise money for Animal charity. All the proceeds from the event went towards various initiatives towards strays and abandoned pets to cover veterinary bills.
