Set priorities while completing development works : CM Udhav Thackeray

Mumbai, 3 December 2019 : Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today made it clear that he would not stop the infrastructure and development works in the state. Considering the available funds, priority should be fixed and works should be completed in time bound. So that the people should be benefited on time.

In Mantralaya, the Chief Minister has reviewed the works of projects like Metro, Mumbai Trans Harbor Link, Navi Mumbai International Airport, Samriddhi Express. Minister Eknath Shinde, Subhash Desai, Chhagan Bhujbal, Jayant Patil along with Chief Secretary Ajay Mehta, MMRDA Commissioner R A Rajiv, Additional Chief Secretary of the Urban Development Department, Nitin Karir, and officers of the concerned departments were present.

Chief Minister Thackeray said, “We will not obstruct the development work for infrastructure. However, it is important to make the infrastructure work a priority, considering all the funds available and its appropriation and advantage to the locals. The Chief Minister categorically said that the ongoing development of various infrastructure will not stop.

When implementing any development project, local people need to be taken into confidence. The Chief Minister said that work is being done with full strength by the administration but it is necessary to coordinate the progress of the work and fund.

Locals will be taken into confidence while constructing the car shed which is necessary for the metro.

He also said that prosperity should also come in the lives of the farmers through the Samriddhi Express.

Presentations on the works of Mumbai Metro, Navi Mumbai Airport, Samriddhi Express, MTHL were made on this occasion.
