SOUTHERN ARMY CONDUCTS EX-SERVICEMEN RALLY AT VETERANS AT KOLHAPUR

Southern Command Veterans Rally was organised at Kolhapur on08 & 09 April 2018 to establish a connect with the Veterans, seek grievances/progress cases of anomalies in pension and handle any other issues of Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and Disabled soldiers. Lieutenant General Vishwambhar Singh, General Officer Commanding Maharastra Gujarat & Goa Area, inaugurated the Rally at 109 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Maratha Light Infantry location. Major General Prithi Singh, General Officer Commanding Dakshin Maharashtra Sub Area was also present at the Rally which was attended by over 4000 Veterans of the region.

A medical camp was also organised during the Veterans Rally. The medical camp had eminent Army Doctors, Dentists and Paramedical Staff from Panaji, Devlali, Ahmednagar, Kirkee and Pune. The camp provided specialist and super specialty services to the Veterans/Veer Naris who benefitted from the presence of the Cardiologist, Orthopaedic surgeon, Gynecologist, Ophthalmologist, ENT surgeon and the Dentists present in the Camp. In addition, health educational videos were also screened for all those present. Basic diagnostic facilities like ECG, Radiography, Audiometry and routine blood tests were also provided to the all attendees. A total of 540 Veterans and Veer Naris of Kolhapur benefitted from the Camp.
