Suhas Merchant becomes the President of CREDAI Pune Metro

Pune: 13 March 2019: Suhas Merchant is elected unanimously as the President of CREDAI-Pune Metro for 2019-2021. He has been a founder and  Hon. Secretary of CREDAI-National. He was associated with CREDAI Pune Metro formerly known as PBAP since 1987. He took the charge from Shrikant Paranjape during a function held at hotel Conrad today. Satish Magar – CREDAI National President, Shantilal Kataria – Vice President CREDAI National, Rajiv Parikh – President CREDAI Maharashtra were also present on the occasion along with Kumar Gera and Ramkumar Rathi founders of CREDAI.

Other elected office bearers include Rohit Gera,  Anil Pharande,  Ranjit Naiknavare,  Kishor Pate,  Manish Jain and Amar Manjrekar all as Vice Presidents, Aditya Javdekar as the Hon. Secretary, I .P. Inamdar as Hon. Treasurer and Ashwin Trimal as Hon. Joint Secretary.

Suhas Merchant was the managing committee member of the Association from 1987 to 1999. He was the Hon. Secretary for the period from 1999 -2002 and was also the Vice President for 9 years.  An engineer by profession Merchant has done M.Tech from IIT Powai,. He is a Gold Medallist and stood 1st in the University. He is also a Rotarian and is involved in many social activities.

He brings with him about 45 Years of experience in RCC Design, Construction, Estimation, Architectural Design, Project Management, Material Purchase, Liasion, Legal, Marketing, Business development. Worked in Middle East, Iraq, South Africa and other countries. Closely associated with Kalpataru Group.

The CREDAI- Pune Metro is an Association of Builders and Promoters of Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and PMRDA area.  It is established in 1982 and since then is operating for the promotion of Real Estate Sector in the region for more than 37 years. It has a strong membership of 400 plus members consisting of leading Promoters and Builders of Pune which accounts for about 70% of the construction activities in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad & PMRDA area. CREDAI-Pune Metro closely works with Government and Semi-Government agencies and takes initiative in policy formation, education to the construction labour with regards to safety at construction sites and skill development.
