Sunlectra Auto signs Mega Project MoU with Government of Maharashtra for MNUFACTURING OF SOLAR POWERED ELECTRIC VEHICLES

Pune 20 February 2018 :Pune based Sunlectra Auto has signed a Mega Project MoU with Government of Maharashtra for setting up manufacturing facility for Solar Powered Electric vehicles . The MoU was signed in presence of Shri. Subhash Desai Hon. Finance Minister Government of Maharashtra , Shri. Sunil Porwal Additional Chief Secretary , Shri Ranjit More Promoter and Managing Sunlectra Auto , Shri. Abhijeet More, Sanjay Apte, Ragesh Nair and Mukul Tiwari.

Sunlectra Auto had recently announced the launch of its products and showcased prototypes of two Solar Powered electric three wheelers , passenger and commercial at an exhibition organised by the ARAI recently in Pune.

Giving details about the project Ranjit More, Managing Director Sunlectra Auto said that going forward electric mobility will be a game changer in Indian Auto Sector as we move towards more greener mediums of mobility. Unique value addition in our products will be addition of flexible Solar Panel which will act as Range Extender.

We have identified an existing factory infrastructure at Shindewadi in Satara district near Pune where we will start the production . We will invest about Rs 154 Crore in Five years also will be generating employment to 500 people and start manufacturing three wheelers followed by phase wise expansion every year . The three wheelers will be followed by two wheelers and mini buses ( 20 seater ) in subsequent years .
