Pune, FridayOctober 30th2015: It is time to soak in the spirit of Diwali and spread the goodness. Pune’s biggest and most anticipated pre-diwali NGO extravaganza – 8thedition of Yellow Ribbon NGO Fair was inaugurated today at the hands of the chief guest Shaina NC, celebrated fashion designer, social activist, spokesperson & Treasurer BJP Maharashtra, Special Guest, Dr. U.S. Saha, CGM, NABARD along with Mrs. Parul Mehta, Founder Trustee, ISHANYA Foundation provides the perfect platform to do just that.

Having grown in stature over the years, this edition of YRNF promises to be bigger, better and more than just a fair. Promoting the theme of – MAKE IN INDIA, YRNF will bring to you the range of exquisite, inspired and rare work of craftsmanship made by artisansfrom across the countryapart from loads of other festive items.

Propagating the overarching objective of “AchchiKharidhari, Achcha Karma”, this four-day gala will bring togethera total of over 120 NGOs/SHGs/artisans and more than 5000 variety of products. While products like decorative diyas, torans, sweets, snacks will address your festive needs, items like traditional paithani style in sarees, clutches, dupattas, suits, exquisite designs from the Banaras, rare inspired creations in Patola and Tangalia from the heart of Gujarat and handmade jewellery from Gwalior & Mumbai among others will refresh your childhood memories or become a perfect gifting option for your loved ones.

Above all, this event promotes the idea of shopping for a cause like Women Empowerment, Support to differently-abled Individuals, cancer patients, education for children, environment sustainability& more from the NGOs &artisans participating at YRNF.

Sharing her thoughts on this initiative, Shaina NC, celebrated fashion designer, social activist,spokesperson & Treasurer BJP Maharashtra said: “Giving back to the society and encouraging our country’s unsung heroes, the artisans whose talent rarely gets a platform to get noticed is very close to my heart. I am delighted to be a part of this noble initiative Yellow Ribbon NGO Fair, which has been doing an excellent job so far of promoting the undiscovered indigenous talent apart from handholding NGOs and SHGs from across India to become self-reliant. This initiative also furthers our vision of Make in India and I am confident this will go a long way on placing India on the global map of craftsmanship.”
