Many management books have been written keeping the IT industry as the background. But hardly even anyone has authentically used an IT company as the background for a detective romance.
“The Ripple Effect” is a work of fiction but as the author is an IT industry veteran, the setup, the people, their interactions, the situations they find themselves in are written very realistically.
The novel smartly combines old style investigative mystery with romance and makes it a fun read with wit and humor. People who like mysteries, people who like romances and folks from the IT industry would enjoy this book thoroughly.
The launch took place on 25th of March at MCCIA hall. Chief Guest, Dr. Anand Deshpande, Chairman, MD & CEO of Persistent Systems said it was not just launch of a book but of a new author. Dr. Anand said he expects lot more from the author in coming years. He said that while the depiction of the IT industry and situations in the book were quite realistic, it was really a book about people and their relationships. Dr. Anand also said that the book has a high potential to be made into a movie or a TV serial.
After the speech by the Chief Guest, there was a short interview of the author by Motiya Basargekar. The audience enjoyed the lively interaction about the book, characters & plot and the author. Later on the author also answered audiences’ questions.
