Pune – The third Yashodhan Premier League (YPL) was held on 15th and 16th of December in Yashodhan society, Kondhwa Budruk, Pune

It was introduced by the youth of the Yashodhan society i.e Dhawal Soni (Founder), and members are Darshan Nanavati, Rahul Sancheti, Palash Modi, Sujal Porwal. YPL was first introduced in the year 2016.

“In the year 2016 we started with only gents’ team but later in 2017 we got active participation from the ladies as well which helped us in making this program a grand success. This year’s YPL is very similar to the Indian Premier League (IPL). Auction was conducted, teams were made and even trophy was also there for the winning team along with several other trophies (like : best batsman , best bowler etc.)”, informed Soni.

The main aim of conducting YPL is the upliftment of sports for both ladies and gents.

He further added, “YPL has helped us come closer as in the YPL we get to see three generations participating – the people above the age of 40 have also taken part by being the owners of the teams; the middle age and young generations are the players of our YPL. It helps to maintain good relation among the society members as well as helps in active participation in any other event/program. In the YPL all the members play with a lot of enthusiasm, happiness and encourage others to participate as well.”

The auction for this grand event was held on 2nd December 2018 and all together 8 teams participated this year with 7 members in each team. “As cricket matches are very tiring we had arranged energy drinks as well as refreshments so that the players don’t lose their enthusiasm”, Dhoni explained the process.
