Train youth for Skill Development  – Union Minister of State HRD Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey

Mumbai October 20,2016 : Training  youth for  skill development  is very important to take the nation forward and to address the issue of unemployment. This was stated by Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey  while addressing a National Conference on New Initiatives in Apprenticeship Training organized by the Board of Apprentice Training (Western Region) in Mumbai today. He also expressed hope that such initiatives will soon make India free from the issue of unemployment.

The HRD state minister  has stressed upon the need to use public platforms for the success of new initiatives such as Skill India, Make in India and Start up India. Through skill development the Government aims to make youth employable. For this the initiative of the Prime Minister for Skill India will show the way. The aim is to make India the top most skilled nation in the 21st Century and towards this objective the HRD ministry has involved the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT). The promise of employment cannot be fulfilled without the Skill India Mission, he added. To take the nation at the top Prime Minister’s schemes like Make In India, digital India, Startup India will play an  important role.

This one day conference deliberated on various issues regarding new initiatives offered by central government for apprenticeship training.
