Pune November 23 , 2017: Treebo Hotels, India’s largest budget hotel chain, recently announced launch of 15 new properties in Maharashtra, taking the total number of hotels in the region to 40.  For Treebo, the Maharashtra cluster is spread across the regions of Mumbai, Pune and neighbouring cities like Nashik, Kohlapur and Mahabaleshwar.Following the strategic expansion plan to cater to the rising demand from the region, the addition of new properties has made the Maharashtra cluster thesecond largest after the home cluster for the hotel chain-Bangalore.

Speaking about the recent developments, Punit Garg, Head of Business Development and Stay Experience,Treebo Hotels said, “In the last 18 months, our hotel partners in the Maharashtra cluster have realized as high as 40% business growth, while the average continues to be over a healthy 15%. It’s a key market for Treebo as Mumbai and Pune attract significant business travelers from across the country. We are optimistic about the emerging micro-markets in the outer periphery of city like Airoli and Navi Mumbai in Mumbai and Hinjewadi, Chinchwad and even Kharadi around Pune. To capture higher market share in the region, we look at doubling our room inventory by the end of 2017 in the highly price sensitive and competitive budget segment.”


He further added, “We will continue to work closely with our hotel partners to create value for them and our guests across our 300+ properties.Our partners in the region have seen healthy Y-o-Y growth of about 5% points in RevPAR (Revenue per available room) on the back of Treebo’sstrong direct and corporate sales. It’s a continuous endeavor to maintain our position as India’s top-rated hotel chain in the country by offering high-quality guest experience at our properties.”

Treebo’s properties are located across the cities, equally covering the centrally-located destinations and outer skirts which are frequented by both business as well as leisure travellers.
