Two Days Conference on “Re-imagining Rural Skills Development – Bridging Policy and Practice” inaugurated

STARS (Skills Training for Advancement in Rural Societies) Forum organised a two day conference on topic “Re-imagining Rural Skills Development – Bridging Policy and Practice”,on 6th and 7th Dec 2019 at the BAIF Campus, Warje (Pune). Conference inaugurated on 6th December,at BAIF campus,Warje.

Yogesh Kulkarni, Chairman – STARS Forum and Chaitanya Nadkarny, Executive Director of STARS Forum, welcomed guests.

Dr Girish Sohni (President, BAIF), Mrinalini Kher (Co-founder, Yuva Parivartan), Anil Manekar (Member-Secretary, Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission), Dr.Kshama Mhetre (National Director, Chinmaya Organization for Rural Dev.) Participated in discussion on ‘Skilling Rural Indians – Lessons Learnt and way forward’,in inaugural session.

STARS Forum is a network of some of the most respected grassroots organisations, R&D institutions, skills and livelihood promotion NGOs and Social Enterprises focussed on rural advancement through technology, skilling, entrepreneurship etc. BAIF Dev. Research Foundation is Conference partner this year while’ Atal Community Innovation Centre (Atal Innovation Mission, Niti Aayog) is Knowledge partner.

The Conference providing an opportunity to interact with heads and senior executives from NGOs, Social Enterprises, government institutions and corporates involved in or supporting rural skills and entrepreneurship development.
