Two men nabbed for stealing gas from cylinders

Pune: Crime branch unit 3 officers of Pune city police have arrested two employees of a gas agency for stealing LPG from cylinders to refill the empty cylinders on Mula Road in Khadki on Friday afternoon.

Police have seized LPG cylinders, two tempos, cash, some empty cylinders and pipes, totally worth Rs 3.29 lakh from them.

The arrested accused persons are Sunil Bhavarlal Nen (23) and Dinesh Chennaram Jani (19), both currently resided in Pimplegurav, Sangvi. They are natives of Rajasthan. They used to deliver gas cylinders to people.

Police said that with the help of a pipe, they used to steal the gas and then sell the cylinders in black market.

Crime Branch team included DCP inspector Sitaram More, and policemen Shivandan Swami, Rohidas Lawande, Gunshilam Rangam, Mahendra Pawar, Gajanan Ganbote, Adinath Kale, Sandip Talekar, Sandip Rathod, and Kalpesh Bansode.
