Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari visits The Arena by TransStadia to experience the state-of-the-art stadium

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, 3rd July, 2017: Post-Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit and the inauguration of The Arena by TransStadia, Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Shri Nitin Gadkari along with Shri Mansukh. L. Mandaviya, Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping visited the Arena to experience the state-of-the-art stadium. They reviewed the stadium, its facilities, and operations. The Hon’ Ministers were in Gandhinagar for the Textiles India 2017 where he chaired a session titled ‘Exploring Growth Potential of Technical Textiles in Building India’.

Speaking about his visit to the Arena, Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Shri Nitin Gadkari said, “The Arena by TransStadia propels India to a multi-sports culture, creating sports infrastructure and an ecosystem where young talent can be put through a scientific plan. I witnessed and experienced the technology and facilities of the stadium, and was impressed with the thought put behind developing every square foot and every sport. The infrastructure planning is truly world leading. By hosting international level leagues this Arena has increased the economic growth and the use of new technologies in the state of Gujarat. TransStadia has created numerous job opportunities through the various sporting activities they have hosted. This kind of socio-economic project has a place in every urban area of our country. This will not only grow the sports sector but also revitalize our city-centres.”

During the tour, they expressed their appreciation and lauded the efforts for the creation of the stadium, which has put India on a global platform in the world of sports.  Impressed by the technology used for sport, leisure and wellness, Shri Nitin Gadkari was confident that The Arena by TransStadia would lead India to the forefront of sports and sports Infrastructure development
