Venky’s 40 premises raided by IT dept across India
Pune – Sleuths from the Income Tax department on Friday conducted simultaneous raids at 40 premises of Venky’s at 10 locations across India.
The IT sleuths searched various offices, farmhouses and residential premises of the company officials. Sources said that the raid was in connection non-payment of taxes.
The raids were conducted at three places in Pune, besides those in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and others.
Venky’s (India) Limited is a subsidiary of V H Group, a company that specialises in chicken meat processing, and pharmaceutical products for both poultry and human usage.
