World-leading C-V2X EVK Solution to Advance Autonomous Vehicle Technlogy in China
SHANGHAI, July 17, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Leading connected autonomous vehicle company Cohda Wireless has announced a hardware solution for use in Cellular V2X (C-V2X) applications. Cohda’s MK6C Evaluation Kit is available now and the Australian-headquartered company, which established an office in China in February 2018, believes it will accelerate the commercial introduction of C-V2X technology around the world and also help to create additional awareness of its presence in China as a world leader.
Cohda’s Chief Engineer Fabien Cure said that the company has introduced the MK6C on the back of increasing demand for a dedicated C-V2X hardware solution and that this development will be of particular interest to OEMs and the Chinese CAV market in general. Cohda is participating in interoperability tests in China where its software is supportive of Chinese standards

Cohda Wireless’ was established in 2004 and its V2X applications are the most widely deployed in the industry. It expects that by 2021, over a million vehicles will feature Cohda technology whilst it continues to secure infrastructure deployments across the US, Europe and Australia. It is the only company to have integrated its V2X software into two car manufacturer platforms.
Cohda’s MK6C solution features the Qualcomm® 9150 C-V2X Platform from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, and offers high quality and-compatible C-V2X software to support direct communications in support of vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle-to-pedestrian (V2P) applications.
Cohda is eager to embark on C-V2X trials involving the MK6C and is actively promoting it for evaluation of the Cohda solution for a C-V2X ecosystem.
The MK6C Evaluation kit comes with a 5G-expansion ready extension connector and can accommodate Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet and CAN.
