Yashodip Deshmukh wins the title of ‘IT Idol 2017’ of Pune

Pune, 27th March 2017: The much-awaited SEED IT Idol 2017 winners were announced in a ceremonious event held at Balgandharva Rangmandir yesterday. Bharati Barhate, Executive Director and Shrikant Rasane, Co-Founder and Director of SEED Infotech Ltd. felicitated the winners.

Yashodip Deshmukh of Indian Institute of Information and Technology (IIIT), Hinjewadi won the first prize and was facilitated with a smartphone.  Rahul Shah of Vishwakarma Institute of Information and Technology (VIIT), Pune was the 1st Runner Up who was awarded with a 1 TB Hard Disk and Kaustubh Devkar of Marathwada Mitramandal College of Engineering was the 2nd Runner Up who was presented with a Charging Power Bank.

Shrikant Rasane encouraged the students to participate in such competitions and keep focus on pursuing further post-graduation studies, as well. All the dignitaries awarded Top 50 students of SEED IT Idol – Pune, 2017 with Medals of Merit.

The Top Ten winners of all regional SEED IT Idols will compete for a SEED Maha IT Idol scheduled on March 30th in the city. The winner of the SEED Maha IT Idol will be awarded with a Laptop.

SEED IT Idol is a flagship initiative conducted by SEED Infotech Ltd. across the state of Maharashtra since past 8 years and due to the very nature of the initiative most of the universities in the state partner with it and extend all possible support for taking it to maximum number of students. Thus, various universities partner with this exercise in their jurisdiction.

The objective of the competition is to judge and reward the knowledge of a student for C programming and Computer Fundamentals make them aware of the job opportunities, requirement of skills in the IT industry and make them adept for competitive examinations for their future.

All anxious souls were looking forward to be the winners of the much sought after SEED IT Idol – Pune, 2017, as this is one of the only awards merited to students based on their IT knowledge and skills.

72 colleges of Pune and its vicinity affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University participated in this year’s ‘SEED IT Idol – Pune, 2017’ through which 18,000 students attempted the first-round test. Out of these, 1800 students were selected for Round Two. 10 finalists were then shortlisted and after a nail biting online test, through specially created software, the final three winners were announced.  Winners were also presented with various goodies such as branded SEED merchandize, certificates, gift vouchers and Medals of Merit.
