​’Brahmin children going abroad due to reservation’

Pune – In a controversial statement, Pune mayor Mukta Tilak said that children of Brahmins have to go to foreign countries for studies due to reservations in India.

She made the statement in Nashik on Friday during distribution of award ceremony organised by Chitpavan Brahaman Sangh.

“Many people took out morcha except Brahmins. They don’t need reservations. They have progressed on the basis of their intellectual capacity”, she added.

After this statement, social media is abuzz about it and people are venting anger against her.
