​Two Pimpri builders detained with Rs 2.9 crores in old Rs 1000, 500 notes

Pune – Officials from Pune rural police have seized Rs 2.9 crores in scrapped currency notes.

Cops have detained three persons including two builders. They had gone to exchange the money in Mumbai but the deal didn’t materialised. They were coming back to Pune when the cops got tip-off about the cash.
Accordingly a trap was laid at Urse toll plaza and the suspects were detained. Now Income tax department officials have also been informed, police said.
