Woman faked gangrape in Pune on criminals instructions to frame 2 men
Pune – Three days after a woman alleged that she was gangraped in Shindawane Ghat, about 40 km from Pune, near Uruli Kanchan, Pune rural police said that it was a fake case and plot to trap two men.
After the woman had lodged FIR with Loni Kalbhor police station, cops had detained the men Prakash Chavan and Ajay Navale.
However it emerged that actually they were framed by two criminals identified as Dada Gavhan and Sandeep Jagdale. They had used the woman.
She had claimed to have been raped by two men in a Fortuner car at Shindawane ghat, along the Uruli Kanchan-Jejuri route while returning from a pilgrimage from Narayanpur, on Friday night.
The woman who had earlier stated that she was in her 30s also turned out to be in her 40s with two children, a daughter and a son, said the police. While her daughter is married, the son is a 10th standard drop out who currently has a job.
