Maruti Suzuki to Raise 2024 Car Prices Due to Escalating Costs
India, 28th November 2023: In a bid to navigate soaring expenses, Maruti Suzuki, the leading car manufacturer in India, is gearing up for a price upsurge across its vehicle spectrum, slated to kick in from January 1, 2024. The company cites amplified inflation and heightened commodity prices as driving forces behind this strategic move.
Despite proactive cost-cutting endeavors, Maruti Suzuki concedes the inevitability of passing on a portion of the escalated expenses to consumers. Although the exact increment for individual models remains undisclosed, all Maruti models are poised for a hike, albeit with varying degrees.
Maintaining a commanding presence with an impressive 45% market share in the Indian automotive landscape, Maruti Suzuki recently celebrated a noteworthy achievement in October 2023. The company achieved its highest-ever monthly sales of 1,99,217 units, marking an impressive year-on-year growth of 19%.

Offering a diverse array of cars spanning from the popular Alto to the premium Invicto, priced between Rs 3.54 lakh and Rs 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom), Maruti Suzuki has maintained a consistent stronghold in the automotive sector. This imminent price adjustment follows the company’s previous increments, including the latest one in April 2023 and an earlier 1.1% hike announced in January 2023.
