Pune: Concerns Arise as Used Syringes and Condoms Discovered in School Premises
Bhawani Peth, 2nd February 2024: A disturbing revelation has unfolded at Krantiveer Lahuji Vastad Salve, School No. 86 B in Bhawani Peth, as a significant quantity of used syringes and condoms were found in various classrooms and on the school grounds. This discovery has prompted serious questions from concerned parents regarding the safety and security of their children within the school premises.
The gravity of this situation necessitates a thorough investigation to determine the origin of these items and the circumstances leading to their presence in the educational institution. The angry parents are rightfully demanding answers regarding the safety measures in place and how such alarming items managed to enter the school premises, especially when security personnel are expected to ensure a secure environment for the students.
Vijay Mohite, a concerned parent, has underscored the severity of the issue and urged authorities to take immediate and decisive action. The situation not only poses a threat to the physical well-being of the students but also raises questions about the overall atmosphere within the school.
In response to the inquiries, Sharad Memane, the Assistant Administrative Officer in charge of Bhawani Peth Ward, explained that currently, all teachers are engaged in the survey of Maratha reservation, and a notice has been issued to the school in this regard. Memane assured that further action will be taken after a comprehensive review of the CCTV footage from the school.
