Shivajinagar, 26th December 2024: DES’s Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune, is organizing the Lokmanya Tilak National Appellate Moot Court Competition (LTNA) on 21st and 22nd February 2025, a National Appellate Moot Court Competition, under the guidance of CDC Chairman Adv. Ashok Palande and the support of Principal Dr. Sunita Adhav.

A moot court competition is a simulated court proceeding where law students argue hypothetical legal cases. Rather than focusing on presenting evidence, participants concentrate on making legal arguments before a panel of judges. This exercise helps students refine their research, writing, and oral advocacy skills in a courtroom environment. It’s an opportunity for aspiring lawyers to practice their skills.

This year the moot proposition centers around a commercial dispute between two industries, a manufacturer of electronic components, and a distributor, focusing on procedural complexities in commercial litigation.

The execution of this competition is possible by the efforts of the faculty coordinators, including Asst. Prof. Kaveri Deo and Asst. Prof. Madhura Apte. Their work ensures the coordination of all aspects of the event, setting a benchmark for future mooting activities.

The LTNA 2025 provides a platform for students to refine their advocacy skills and deepen their understanding of commercial law, contributing to their legal education.
