Pune: Woman Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Abusing Class 10 Boy
Pune, December 28, 2024: A shocking case of alleged abuse involving a school teacher and a Class 10 student has surfaced in Pune, prompting police action under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused teacher has been arrested by the Khadak police.
According to the complaint filed by the victim’s mother, the incident occurred at a school where the boy had come to attend his preliminary examinations. Once at the school, the safety and guardianship of the student were the responsibility of the teachers. However, the accused allegedly lured the student and engaged in inappropriate behavior on the school premises.
The mother became aware of the alleged incident and immediately raised the issue with the school administration before approaching the police. Based on her complaint, the Khadak police registered a case against the teacher and swiftly made the arrest.
Assistant Police Inspector Tonde is leading the investigation, which is being conducted under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Shashikant Chavan.
