Massive Fire Breaks Out in Shivshahi Bus on Pune-Mumbai Expressway; No Injuries Reported
Lonavala, 19th January 2025: A massive fire engulfed a Shivshahi bus on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway on Saturday morning, causing a traffic jam on the Mumbai-bound lane. The incident occurred around 9 am when the bus, carrying 12 passengers, suddenly caught fire.
Quick thinking by the bus driver averted a potential tragedy, as all passengers were safely evacuated before the fire spread. No injuries or casualties were reported.
The fire caused significant disruption, leading to long queues of vehicles on the Mumbai-bound lane. Emergency services, including the fire brigade, promptly arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze. Traffic on the expressway was temporarily halted but was restored after the fire was brought under control.
