Pune Metro Announces Special Rs 20 Day Pass For Women On International Women’s Day Week
Pune, 5th March 2025: Pune Metro has announced a special discount for women passengers in celebration of International Women’s Day. From 1st March to 8th March, women commuters can avail of a one-day metro pass for just ₹20, significantly lower than the regular price of ₹118.
The discounted pass will be available at all Pune Metro stations, and women passengers need to carry a valid identity document such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, or driving license to avail of the offer.
The initiative aims to encourage more women to use the metro while promoting safe and efficient public transport. Pune Metro officials have stated that ensuring a secure and comfortable travel experience for women remains a key priority.
With Pune Metro emerging as a vital mode of transport in the city, this concession is expected to increase ridership and contribute to reducing traffic congestion. Passes can be obtained from ticket windows at metro stations by presenting valid identification and paying ₹20. The pass will be valid for one day only.
