Pune: Teenager Found Dead in Abandoned Bungalow Near Yerawada Jail
Yerawada, 21st March 2025: On 17th March, an 18-year-old boy, identified as Sahil Vilas Kamble, was found dead in an abandoned bungalow near Yerawada Central Jail in Pune. The police control room received the information around 10:30 AM, prompting immediate action. Sahil, a resident of Vishrantwadi, was discovered hanging in the old bungalow located opposite Panchshil Nagar.
Upon investigation, no suspicious injuries were found on the body. The deceased was taken to Sassoon Hospital for a post-mortem, which confirmed that he died by hanging. The incident has been registered as an accidental death at the Yerwada Police Station, with Police Sub-Inspector Jore leading the investigation.
The body was handed over to the family for further proceedings. Sahil’s father, Vilas Kamble, aged 45, has provided a statement, and further inquiry is underway. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
