Pimpri, 22nd March 2025: Inspired by Indian Army posters during his school days, Chintaman Vishnu Burse from Pimple Gurav pursued his dream of becoming an officer in the Indian Army. Despite facing repeated setbacks, he remained determined and successfully cleared the exam through the NCC quota. At the age of 23, Burse was selected as a lieutenant and is set to join the Indian Army in Gwalior soon.

In recognition of his achievement, Additional Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, felicitated Burse. The event was attended by Public Relations Officer Prafulla Puranik, Burse’s parents Vishnu and Swati Burse, and Prashant Joshi from the Electricity Department. Jambhale-Patil praised Burse, stating that the youth of Pimpri-Chinchwad joining the armed forces brings pride to the city.

Burse’s journey to success was marked by resilience. From the Class 8, he was drawn to the army, inspired by the posters. He attempted the NDA entrance exam three times, clearing the written test but failing in the interview rounds. However, he did not lose confidence. With renewed determination, he prepared rigorously and applied through the NCC quota, eventually earning his selection as a lieutenant. He also completed three months of intensive training at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai.

Speaking at the occasion, Burse encouraged the youth to remain steadfast in their goals, regardless of failures. He expressed pride in fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming an army officer. His mother, Swati Burse, shared that Chintaman had always aspired to join the army and credited his success to his unwavering determination and hard work.

Burse’s parents played a significant role in his journey. His father, Vishnu Burse, works as an accountant in a Pune-based company, while his mother runs a coaching class in Pimple Gurav. Despite their modest background, they consistently supported his ambition. Even after facing multiple rejections, they stood by him, motivating him to pursue his goal. Their belief in encouraging him to serve the nation, instead of pushing for conventional career paths, ultimately helped Chintaman achieve his dream.
