CBSE to Launch Parenting Calendar for Academic Year 2025-26
New Delhi, 27th March 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the launch of a Parenting Calendar for the academic session 2025-26, aiming to enhance collaboration between schools and parents for the holistic development of students. The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and seeks to strengthen parent-teacher partnerships, encourage open communication, and improve student outcomes.
CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta emphasized the significance of parental involvement in a child’s emotional, social, and academic growth. “While schools provide essential knowledge and skills, a nurturing home environment plays a vital role in fostering resilience, creativity, and critical thinking. The CBSE Parenting Calendar is designed to bridge the gap between educators and parents, ensuring children receive well-rounded support,” Gupta said.
Key Objectives of the CBSE Parenting Calendar
The initiative aims to:
✔ Strengthen parent-teacher engagement for better student development.
✔ Encourage consistent communication between parents and educators.
✔ Facilitate structured interactions through orientations, meetings, and collaborative initiatives.
The calendar will provide guidelines on fostering a supportive learning environment at home and help schools organize meaningful parental engagement activities.
