Pune: Lohegaon XI Wins Jansuraksha Cricket Cup 2025, Organized by Airport Police
Viman Nagar, 29th March 2025: The Airport Police Station successfully organized the “Community Policing – Connecting Youths” cricket competition under the “Jansuraksha Cricket Cup 2025” at Symbiosis College Ground, Viman Nagar. The event, held on March 27-28, saw enthusiastic participation from 16 teams across Zone-4, including police teams from Airport, Kharadi, Wagholi, Yerawada, Vishrantwadi, Khadki, Baner, and members of Akhil Patrakar Mahasangh Sangh Pune. Additionally, eight well-known local teams from Viman Nagar took part in the competition.
After two days of intense cricket matches, Lohegaon XI emerged victorious, securing the first place and a cash prize of ₹21,000 along with a trophy. J Boys Cricket Team from Ramwadi finished as the runners-up, winning ₹11,000, while the Airport Police Station Cricket Team secured third place with a prize of ₹7,000.
