PMRDA To Enhance Fire Safety With 10 New Stations Across Pune’s Expanding Region

Pune, 3rd April 2025: Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has decided to set up ten new fire stations to enhance safety in villages under its jurisdiction. A proposal regarding this initiative has been submitted to the district collector for approval.

Once the proposal is approved, the new fire stations will be established across various talukas in Pune district, including Haveli, Shirur, Daund, Maval, Purandar, Mulshi, and Khed. The identified locations include Loni Kalbhor, Kedgaon, and eight other strategic sites. Land allocation for these stations has already been finalized.

The ten new fire stations will be set up in:

  • Loni Kalbhor, Wadachi Wadi, Autade Handewadi (Haveli Taluka)
  • Shikrapur (Shirur Taluka)
  • Kedgaon (Daund Taluka)
  • Kanhe (Maval Taluka)
  • Dive (Purandar Taluka)
  • Patan (Maval Taluka)
  • Mahalunge (Mulshi Taluka)
  • Yewalewadi (Khed Taluka)

Additionally, one fire station will be established in each of the Daund, Khed, Mulshi, Shirur, and Purandar talukas. These new facilities will significantly improve emergency response times, ensuring that fire brigades and personnel can swiftly reach accident-prone areas in case of emergencies.
