New Delhi, 8th April 2025: Students across India awaiting their CBSE Class 10 board results may not have to wait much longer. According to reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 10 results by 20th May 2025. However, the board has yet to officially confirm the result date.

In line with recent years, CBSE will not release a toppers list this year either. The decision to discontinue the list was made to reduce unhealthy academic competition among students across the country.

The results will be announced online and made available through the official CBSE website at http://cbse.gov.in. Once declared, a direct result link will be activated on the homepage. Students can access their marksheets by clicking the link and entering their roll number and other required details. Additionally, results will be accessible via the DigiLocker portal http://results.digilocker.gov.in and app. The board will also provide an SMS facility for checking results, making it easier for students and parents without smartphones to access their scores.

Looking ahead, CBSE has already announced a major change to its examination structure starting from the 2025–26 academic session. From 2026, the board will conduct Class 10 exams twice a year. The first phase of the 2026 board exams is scheduled from 17th February to 6th March while the second phase will be held from 5th May to 20th May.

This new structure means that traditional compartment and improvement exams will be discontinued. Students who fail in one or two subjects this year will still get a chance to appear for compartment exams, but from next year onward, they will need to take the relevant subject exams again in the next available phase.
