Pune: Two Men Found Hanging from Tree in Pimpri-Chinchwad; Police Investigating Cause of Death
Moshi, 12th April 2025: Two men were found hanging from the same branch of a lemon tree in Moshi near Pimpri-Chinchwad, under the jurisdiction of MIDC Bhosari Police Station. The deceased have been identified as Tushar Ashok Dhage, 25, and Sikandar Shaikh, 30, both residents of Jamkhed Taluka in Ahilyanagar district.
According to Senior Police Inspector Ganesh Jamdar, the two individuals were discovered near Bharatmata Chowk. Preliminary information suggests they were friends who had arrived in Pune from their native village the previous day. The uncle of one of the deceased, Dattatray Dhage, a resident of Taluka Shirur in Pune, has been notified.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3), Dr. Shivaji Pawar, confirmed the incident, stating, “Today we received information that two individuals had hanged themselves. A team was dispatched to the spot and found two bodies. The individuals had come from Karjat Jamkhed Taluka in Ahilyanagar. Their families have been informed, and the bodies have been sent for postmortem. We are investigating the cause behind the deaths.”
