Pune: MLA Pathare Conducts Inspection Tour of Roads and Infrastructure Works in Vadgaonsheri Constituency
Vadgaonsheri, 26th June 2025: To accelerate the ongoing development works related to road improvement, widening, new connectivity routes, and underpasses in the Vadgaonsheri constituency, MLA Bapusaheb Pathare conducted a field inspection tour today (June 26) along with officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation. The objective of the tour was to identify stalled or technically challenged projects and issue immediate directives to fast-track them.
Key Roads and Infrastructure Reviewed:
The proposed road connecting Gunjan Chowk to Kalyaninagar under the Metro route adjacent to the mosque and burial ground.
Feasibility and execution plan for constructing an underpass from Gunjan Chowk to the Airport Road.
Road widening and expansion from Mulik Residence to Vadgaonsheri Village–Old Mundhwa Road.
A key connector road from Survey No. 22 of Beg Nagar to the Kharadi–Shivane Road.
Construction and development of the road from Bolhoba Chowk to the PMC boundary.
Discussions with property owners on the western side of the Grand Road–Nagar Road (Octroi Naka) link for land acquisition.
New road under DP Road 205 connecting Lohegaon to Wagholi (Survey No. 123, 124).
Road from Octroi Naka–Vegetable Market–Talim PMC School–Maifil Estate.
Widening of the road between Kharadi Police Station and Janak Baba Dargah Chowk.
Pathare said, “Quality roads are a fundamental aspect of any region’s development. It is crucial to expedite pending works, remove obstacles, and establish a smooth transportation network. This inspection has helped bring more clarity to the municipal and related departments for concrete decision-making.”
All officials present made on-site observations and recorded necessary directives. Pathare assured that implementation will follow through inter-departmental coordination for timely execution.
PMC Additional Commissioner Omprakash Divte, Chief Engineer of Road Department Aniruddha Pawaskar, Chief Engineer Yuvraj Deshmukh, and Surendra Pathare were also present during the tour.
