Pune: Man Allegedly Strangles Wife to Death in Bavdhan; Son Files Complaint
Bavdhan, 2nd July 2025: A 38-year-old woman was allegedly choked to death by her husband in Pune’s Bavdhan area. While the exact motive behind the crime is yet to be confirmed, reports suggest the couple had been involved in frequent arguments in recent times.
The incident came to light after the couple’s 18-year-old son, Pravin Prakash Jadhav, filed a complaint at Bavdhan Police Station. A case of murder has been registered against his father, Prakash Nagnath Jadhav, aged 43.
According to police reports, the incident took place at their home in Bavdhan Budruk. Around 1:55 PM on Tuesday, the complainant discovered his mother lying unconscious in the bedroom with red marks around her neck. His father, upon being asked to call an ambulance, fled the scene, making him the prime suspect in the case.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Prakash Jadhav and his wife frequently fought. The accused had lost his job recently, leading to financial distress at home, which became a source of regular conflict. Disputes over ancestral property were also reported to be a recurring issue between the couple.
The complaint claims these ongoing tensions ultimately led to the murder. Bavdhan Police are investigating the matter further.
