Pune: Rush for Exam Results Ends in Brutal Attack on Student by 15 in Camp Area; Victim Undergoing ICU Treatment
Camp, 3rd July 2025: A college student was seriously injured after being attacked by a group of 10–15 students in Pune’s Camp area during a chaotic rush to check exam results. The incident, which has triggered fear and outrage, was partially defused by a senior citizen who intervened mid-assault and may have prevented a fatal outcome.
According to Lashkar Police, the results of a college in the Camp area had just been announced, drawing a large crowd of students eager to view their marks. Amid the rush, one student unintentionally pushed another while checking his result, sparking a verbal altercation.
The argument quickly escalated into violence, with a group of 10–15 students allegedly beating the victim and striking him on the head with a wooden stick. A senior citizen, witnessing the scene, managed to snatch the stick from the attackers, potentially saving the student’s life.
The injured student then contacted his maternal uncle, Irfan Mohammad Husain Karnul, who rushed to the college and immediately admitted him to KEM Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU.
A complaint has been lodged at Lashkar Police Station, and authorities have confirmed they will take action against the accused individuals. The video of the assault, which has gone viral, has added to public pressure for swift justice.
