Pune, 8th July 2025: Responding to a rise in passenger numbers, especially on international routes, Pune International Airport has reinstated its ‘Meet and Greet’ and paid porter services to improve travel convenience.

Initially introduced in 2021, the porter facility was designed to assist travelers arriving by private vehicles or taxis with their luggage, offering the service for a nominal fee of ₹200. However, it was discontinued shortly after due to limited demand at the time.

With airport traffic now steadily increasing, airport authorities have decided to revive the service as part of broader efforts to enhance passenger experience and strengthen on-ground support. The facility is especially expected to benefit elderly passengers, families, and travelers carrying heavy or multiple bags.

“Dedicated personnel have been deployed for the porter service. Passengers arriving at Aeromall or at designated drop-off points outside the terminal can now get assistance with luggage transport,” confirmed Santosh Dhoke, Director of Pune International Airport. He added that two counters have been installed at the new terminal to support this initiative.

Airport officials view this as a strategic move to make the pre-boarding experience smoother and more accessible for all categories of travelers.
