Pune: Youth Dies After Bike Crashes Into Flyover Ledge Near Nal Stop Metro Station

Erandwane, 10th July 2025: A 25-year-old youth lost his life after his two-wheeler crashed into the ledge of a flyover near the Nal Stop Station on Karve Road shortly after midnight.

The deceased has been identified as Rajsingh Tamatta, a resident of Community Café, Kothrud. The incident occurred around 12:30 am on July 2, police said.

According to the complaint filed by Vinod Pillay (55), a resident of Ghorpadi village, at Alankar Police Station, Rajsingh was riding his two-wheeler at high speed along the Karve Road flyover when he lost control near the metro station.

“The bike hit the side ledge of the flyover with great impact. Rajsingh suffered serious head injuries,” said an official from Alankar police.
Police teams rushed to the scene immediately after being alerted and shifted the injured youth to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Alankar Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
