Pune-Shirur Elevated Road: MLA Pathare Demands Urgent Start of Tender Process
Vadgaonsheri, 17th July 2025: In a continued effort to resolve the persistent traffic congestion in the Vadgaonsheri Constituency, MLA Bapusaheb Pathare has demanded the expedited completion of the tendering process for the Pune to Shirur elevated road project.
Recently, a 5-kilometre stretch, from Phoenix Market City (Hyatt Hotel) to Kharadi Jakat Naka, has been newly included in the project. This section was previously excluded, but due to sustained follow-ups by MLA Pathare, it has now been reinstated.
Despite the inclusion, the tender process for the project has not yet commenced. To push the matter forward, MLA Pathare met with Ranjit Hande, Chief Engineer of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), and submitted a formal request urging the immediate initiation and completion of the tender process.
The Pune-Shirur elevated road is expected to significantly ease congestion along the Pune-Nagar Road and streamline vehicular movement. Officials and residents alike hope the project will provide long-awaited relief to daily commuters.
