Pune, 21st July 2025: Responding to increasing public interest, the Pune Housing and Area Development Board (MHADA) has extended the deadline for the ongoing e-auction of commercial shops and office units. Bidders now have until 11:59 PM on August 1, 2025, to participate in the process.

The auction includes 52 commercial shops and 28 office spaces spread across Pune, Solapur, Sangli, Satara, and Kolhapur districts. The official auction notice was initially issued on June 21, 2025, and interested individuals can apply via the official portal at www.eauction.mhada.gov.in.

Vacant Residential Units to Be Allotted on First-Come, First-Served Basis
In a parallel move to ensure fair housing access, MHADA has announced that unsold residential units—left vacant even after lotteries conducted under the 15% Social Housing Scheme and 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme—will be offered to general-category applicants. These units will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, following reports submitted by developers.

Eligible citizens seeking affordable housing can register and apply through MHADA’s official platform at https://bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in. The process for allotting these leftover homes will continue as applications are received, based on priority and availability.

Upcoming Lottery for 2,500 Housing Units
Meanwhile, MHADA is preparing to launch a new lottery scheme for around 2,500 residential units, again under the 15% and 20% housing schemes. Developer proposals are under review, and the groundwork for the lottery draw is already in progress.

For further details and registration updates, citizens are advised to visit MHADA’s housing portal at https://housing.mhada.gov.in.

This announcement was made via a joint press release by Shivaji Adhalrao Patil, Chairman of the Pune Housing Board, and Rahul Sakore, Chief Officer.
