‘Potbhar Misal Ghar’: Popular Marathi Actor Couple Opens Their Own Hotel in Pune

Pune, 21st July 2025: Several renowned personalities from the Marathi entertainment industry have made it successful into the world of business over the last few years. While continuing their careers in acting, many celebrities have also launched personal ventures—ranging from clothing brands and saree boutiques to their own restaurants.

Among them are well-known names like Prajakta Mali, Priya Bapat, Akshaya Deodhar, Shreya Bugde, Madhura Joshi, Tejaswini Pandit, Sai Tamhankar, Hardik Joshi, and Niranjan Kulkarni, who have been managing both acting and business hand in hand.

Adding to this growing list is a popular couple from the Marathi television industry who recently shared the joyful news of their debut in the hospitality sector. Actress Anuja Chaudhary—known for her role as ‘Pallavi’ in Star Pravah’s popular show Aboli—along with her husband, actor Sanket Modak, has launched their very own hotel in Mulshi near Pune.

The couple, who tied the knot in May this year, chose the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima to begin their new journey in the food business. Sanket has previously acted in theatre, TV shows, and films such as Firstclass Dabhade, Criminal, Balu Mamachya Nawan Changbhal, and Yam Hai Hum.

Anuja shared the announcement on social media, writing, “On the day of Guru Purnima, we are beginning a new journey. Taking the blessings of Swami Samarth, we are stepping into the food business alongside our ongoing work in the Marathi entertainment industry. We always wanted to start something of our own. And now, our dream has come true with ‘Potbhar Misal Ghar’—our own hotel located at Bhukum on Mulshi Road. We wholeheartedly invite everyone to visit and enjoy the food made by us.
