Pune Schoolchildren Break Down Over Teacher’s Transfer; Class 3 Student Pens Emotional Letter to Sharad Pawar
Hadapsar, 30th July 2025: In a poignant display of affection and innocence, students of Class 3 at Sadhana Primary Vidyamandir in Hadapsar were left heartbroken after learning that their much-loved teacher, Sharda Dawade, was being transferred to another school.
What began as an ordinary school day soon turned into an outpouring of emotions as the young students were informed that Dawade ma’am would no longer be teaching them. Many of the children wept uncontrollably, clinging to their teacher and refusing to let her go. Their genuine grief and affection for her quickly caught public attention after a video of the emotional moment surfaced online.
Among the children, one student stood out for his extraordinary gesture. Hamid Suyog Bendre, a Class 3 pupil, decided to write a heartfelt letter addressed to senior politician Sharad Pawar, pleading for Dawade’s transfer to be reversed.
In his handwritten letter, Hamid introduced himself and expressed how deeply saddened he was by the news. “Tai never scolds us. She teaches with love and patience. I cried when I found out she won’t be our teacher anymore,” he wrote. “Please, let her continue teaching at our school.”
The letter, now widely shared on social media along with the emotional video, has touched the hearts of thousands. It reflects the strong bonds that can form between young students and compassionate educators—relationships built on trust, care, and the comfort of a nurturing presence in the classroom.
While the administrative decision regarding Dawade’s transfer remains unchanged as of now, the overwhelming response to this story underscores the profound emotional impact teachers have on their students. Dawade’s departure may mark the end of her time at Sadhana Primary Vidyamandir, but her influence on the children she taught is sure to last a lifetime.
This episode is a moving reminder that for many children, teachers are more than just instructors—they are mentors, role models, and cherished guardians of their formative years.
