Pune: Gunshots Fired in Broad Daylight in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Businessman Injured

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 1st August 2025: Gunshots were fired with the intent to kill a businessman in the Pimpri Market area of Pimpri-Chinchwad on Friday. The businessman was seriously injured in the attack. The assailants, who remain unidentified, carried out the shooting while riding a two-wheeler. The incident occurred in broad daylight, causing chaos and panic among locals. Pimpri Police are currently present at the scene.

Senior Police Inspector Ashok Kadlag, in charge of Pimpri Police Station, confirmed the incident to Punekar News. He stated, “The gunshot was fired at a shop owner, who was subsequently injured. He is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment and is stable as of now. The assailants are unknown, and we are investigating the matter further to gather all details.”
