Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to Flag Off First-Ever Pune-Rewa Express on August 3
Pune/Rewa, 2nd August 2025: The Indian Railways will inaugurate a new direct train service between Pune and Rewa with the launch of the Pune-Rewa Express on August 3, 2025. The inaugural run will be flagged off by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, in the presence of other dignitaries.
The Pune-Rewa Express will be the first direct rail link between Pune, Maharashtra, and Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Currently, only indirect connectivity exists between the two cities. The new service aims to enhance travel convenience for passengers commuting between these regions.
The train will offer a fast, secure, and comfortable journey across key stations in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Important halts include Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Balaghat, Nainpur, Jabalpur, Katni, and Satna.
The regular service of Train No. 20151 Pune-Rewa Express will commence from Pune every Thursday at 15:15 hrs, reaching Rewa at 17:30 hrs the next day. The return service, Train No. 20152 Rewa-Pune Express, will depart from Rewa every Wednesday at 06:45 hrs, arriving at Pune at 09:45 hrs the following day.
The coach composition includes two Second AC coaches, three Third AC coaches, three Third AC Economy coaches, six Sleeper Class coaches, four General Second Class coaches, one Second Seating cum Guard’s Brake Van, and one Generator Van. The train will cater to both reserved and unreserved passengers.
