First Look of Pune Metro Line 3 Train Unveiled; To Run Between Hinjawadi and Shivajinagar
Hinjawadi, 8th August 2025: The Pune Metro Line 3 project reached a significant milestone today with the official unveiling of the first look of its train that will operate on the Hinjawadi–Shivajinagar route. The sleek and vibrant design was revealed following two successful trial runs.
Designed to reflect the progressive and tech-driven identity of Pune, the train features a modern and colorful livery that symbolizes a future-ready city. The train’s aesthetic, blending innovation with visual appeal, aims to resonate with the urban commuter experience while representing the city’s evolving transport infrastructure.
The Hinjawadi–Shivajinagar corridor, part of the Pune Metro Line 3, is a critical route expected to ease daily commute for thousands of IT professionals and city residents. Once operational, the route is set to enhance connectivity between the bustling IT hub of Hinjawadi and the central business district of Shivajinagar.
Pune Metro Line 3 is being developed as a public-private partnership (PPP) project, and the unveiling of the train marks another step toward its scheduled launch.
