Pune: Army Public School Dighi Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Zeal
Dighi, 15th August 2025: Army Public School Dighi marked the 79th Independence Day celebrations with grandeur and pride. The event reflected a deep sense of patriotism among all present. It commenced with the ceremonial march past led by the NCC Band, adding an air of discipline and honour to the morning.
The Chief Guest, Col Yatin Arora, Commanding Officer, Training Battalion – 2, BEG & Centre, alumnus of IMA Dehradun and a highly decorated officer, was warmly welcomed by Principal Kavita Kadam and Vice Principal Dnyaneshwar Shinde.
Col Yatin Arora unfurled the National Flag. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem echoing the spirit of unity and national pride.

The cultural programme celebrated the theme of ‘New India’ reflecting the spirit of progress, unity, and pride through each performance. Primary students presented a soulful patriotic song. Energetic dance performances by the tiny-tots of Balvatika-3 showcased India’s vibrant traditions. A heartfelt poem recitation and an inspiring Hindi speech paid tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
Another group song ‘Bharat Vande Mataram’ filled the air with pride. It was followed by colourful dance sequences that highlighted the rich heritage of the nation.
In his address, the Chief Guest urged students to value freedom, uphold national integrity, and contribute towards building a stronger ‘New India’.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks acknowledging the contributions of the Chief Guest, principal, vice principal, teachers and students in making the celebration memorable. As the Tricolour fluttered high, the gathering pledged to protect the nation’s dignity and work for its progress.
