Pune Accident: 28-Year-Old Biker Dies in Tempo Collision at Katraj Chowk
Katraj, 16th August 2025: A 28-year-old biker lost his life in a road accident at Katraj Chowk on Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 9:45 am, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Iqbal Pathan, a resident of Rajas Society, Katraj Chowk. According to Bharati Vidyapeeth Police, Pathan was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a tempo. He died on the spot due to the impact.
The tempo driver, identified as Amol Vasant Bhargude (44), a resident of Lipane Vasti, Dattanagar, has been taken into custody. Police said Bhargude underwent a medical examination following the accident.
Pathan’s body has been sent to Sassoon Hospital for post-mortem. Officials confirmed that further legal proceedings are underway.
