Pune to Host “Tourism Mahakumbh 2025” Showcasing Maharashtra’s Heritage and Attractions
Pune, 22nd August 2025: Maharashtra, known globally for its historical, cultural, natural, and religious tourism, is set to highlight its diverse attractions through the upcoming “Tourism Mahakumbh 2025.” The grand event will be held on August 23 and 24 (Saturday and Sunday) with the theme “Our District, Our Tourism.”
From the Sahyadri mountains to the Konkan coastline, from Vidarbha’s wildlife to Marathwada’s rich heritage, Maharashtra offers unparalleled tourism diversity. To strengthen the state’s presence on the global tourism map, the Directorate of Tourism, Maharashtra, has taken the initiative to organize this special event in Pune.
The Tourism Mahakumbh is being presented by the Directorate of Tourism with Royal Goldfield Club Resort as the sponsor and Smita Holidays as the concept and travel partner. The event will take place at Central Park Hotel, Jangli Maharaj Road, Deccan, Pune, from 10 am to 8 pm on both days.
Tourism stalls will be set up showcasing the heritage, cultural traditions, and unique attractions from all 36 districts of Maharashtra. District Collectors have been invited to represent their regions. A special focus will also be given to Maharashtra’s forts that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Deputy Director of Tourism (Pune Division) Shama Pawar appealed to citizens and travel enthusiasts to participate in large numbers and experience the rich tourism potential of the state.
