Pune: Final Round of Class XI Admissions to Begin Tuesday

Pune, 23rd August 2025: The final round of the centralised online admission process for Class XI will be conducted from Tuesday, August 26, to Saturday, August 30. This will be the last opportunity for students who have not yet secured admission. The allotment list for this special round will be announced on Friday, August 29, informed Dr. Mahesh Palkar, Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Maharashtra has 9,528 junior colleges with a total intake capacity of 21,54,692 seats. Of the 14,71,747 students who registered for admissions, 12,78,044 have already secured seats.

Ahead of the special round, junior colleges were given time until Saturday to register newly admitted students and update their increased intake capacity. Based on this, the details of vacant seats will be published on Monday, August 25.

Quota Admissions: Deadline Until Wednesday
Colleges were also directed to surrender seats under the minority and management quotas by Saturday. The list of vacant quota seats will be displayed on August 25.

Students applying under these quotas have been given time until Wednesday, August 27, to:
Complete new student registration and make corrections in Part 1 of the admission form
Fill Part 2 of the form
Submit and lock their admission preferences online

The allotment list for quota applicants will also be announced on Friday, August 29. Selected students must confirm their admission between August 29 and 30.

Admission Schedule at a Glance
August 26–27: New student registration, corrections in Part 1 (for ATKT students), filling Part 2, and selection of college preferences. Facility to update stream and preference order will also be available.
August 29: Special round allotment published on the admission portal, with details available through student and college login. Students will also receive SMS notifications.
August 29–30: Students to visit allotted colleges and confirm admission by clicking on ‘Proceed for Admission.’
