23 Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants Flown from Pune to Indo-Bangladesh Border

Pune, 25th August 2025: Pune City Police on Monday deported 23 Bangladeshi nationals who were residing illegally in the city. The group included 20 women and 3 men.
According to the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) of Pune City Police, the deportees were flown in an Indian Air Force aircraft at 1:21 pm from Pune to Bagdogra in West Bengal. From there, they will be handed over at the Indo-Bangladesh border.
The action comes as part of the ongoing drive against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants staying in Pune and other parts of Maharashtra without valid documents.
Police officials said more such operations will be carried out in the coming weeks to identify and deport individuals staying unlawfully in the country.
